The Durango Kennel Club (DKC) is a licensed American Kennel Club (AKC) based in Durango, Colorado, and dedicated to the advancement of purebred dogs. DKC's membership is a blend of people from the Four Corners Region who own purebred and/or mix breed dogs and share an interest in canine activities and welfare. The Durango Kennel Club has a strong commitment to Four Corners communities, as is demonstrated by their sponsorship of the 4-H Dog Project, the provision of reasonably priced dog training classes (for the pet dog), and the support of Canine Good Citizen and Therapy Dog certification. In addition, the Durango Kennel Club holds an annual three day dog conformation show and obedience trial that is sanctioned by the American Kennel Club.

Meetings of the Durango Kennel Club are held at 7:00 p.m. the first Thursday of each month. NOTE: The Location for the March 4th Meeting will be at the Riverview Animal Hospital, 670 S. Camino del Rio, next to Serious Texas Barbeque, a short distance from the Durango Mall. The meeting room is in the lower level of the building (their training area) so look for the steps to the right of the building.
